Makeup Review: NYX Products - Natural Shadow Palette, The Curve andJumbo Eye Pencil in Mountain Green

While I was reading a book at tweleve in the afternoon, a packaged arrived.
It was the one I ordered from nyxwholesaleph.com last July 29, 2013. It was quite a while before it arrived, but i think it was worth the wait.

Here's how it looked, properly packed in a bubble wrap, All items were perfect when it arrived.
I ordered the following:
                       > natural eye palette (PHP 250)
                       > the curve liner (PHP 570)
                       > green jumbo pencil (PHP 150)

first off, the green jumbo pencil. I have heard alot about the nyx jumbo pencil, and I already own the purple one. This pencils are relly good, great pigments, can be worn on its own or with other eye shadows.

Here is the swatched I did, great color.. already excited to use it :)

I saw this curve line in one of Michelle Phan's favorites, so I decided to add this to my order. It's super pigmented and easy to use with its curve technology. weeeeee...

Here is the swatch...

I was also looking for a travel shadow palette that I could bring anywhere, and I think this one is just perfect. It's cheap and has all the colors I need for everyday.

Here is the swatch I did at the back of my hand (without primer).. some of the light colors are not really visible, but its all good.. I can use that as a highlighter.. I think I can work with it...

Here is a swatch i did using my revlon primer. The darker colors really showed up..

Allin all,the producst were good and definitely going to purchase othere products from the site. I just wish they would ship the items more faster...

Makeup Review: Happy Skin Cosmetics

I saw this Makeup brand in IG from Mikki Galang, who is a pinay makeup blogger, and I got really interested because of it's cute packaging.. I really like cute stuffs (still kid at heart. lol!).

This is a new Makeup brand in the Philippines which is made in Japan, and I think the packaging really is similar to benefit cosmetics.

I only purchased 3 items from Happy Skin just to test it out, since I have a very sensitive annoying skin, I don't want to buy anything expensive and just regret it at the end and not able to use it due to breakout or allergy to the product.

When I purchased it, it came in this cutsie little blue green box.

Makeup: Faking Urban Decay NAKED 2 Palette, How to spot the difference?

This is really really frustrating to write about. YES! even makeup, especially those high end brands, are being faked nowadays. The sad thing about this is that, the fake ones are almost the same price as the real ones, Which is why it's getting more harder for them to be spotted right away and it hurts when you're able to buy it at a very high cost. This has just happened to me *sad face* very very recently.

I am blogging about this, so it will warn other makeup lovers like me, to be very careful on what you buy and where you buy them.

I bought the fake NAKED 2 palette at a sale in Mega trade hall in SM Megamall (yes, I didn't believe it myself that they would allow fake products in their bazaars, but sadly they do or wasn't able to check). Unfortunately, I forgot the store name 'cause I was super sure that the item was not fake at first (ugggh!).

Here is how it happened (telling this to you, so you won't make the same mistake as I did)
> I went to Mega Mall hoping to score some makeup products in a discounted price (since it's a bazaar)
> checked some items on the stalls, then found a Naked 2 palette. I was very happy at first 'cause it's only PHP 2500, and the original price is 4k+ or you can also get them at 3200 in other online stores (authentic product).
> I swatched the tester, and I know for sure (reading a lot of reviews and watching youtube everyday) that the product is not fake. But since it's a tester, it's already swatched a couple of times and it was beautiful when swatched. So, I decided to get one.
> The seller told me that she will get a new stock, then she placed it in a brown bag and then I payed. Then, we went to eat our dinner and it was also time for the Mall to close.
> Being so excited and Happy that I finally bought a NAKED 2 palette, I opened it up and noticed that the packaging is different (carbon box, image below).

The original one, comes in a clear packaging with the lip-gloss on the side.

   > When I opened it up, I noticed a very different product from the one I swatched at the store (Holy moly!).
> I swatched it and some of them are very powdery and not that pigmented (and who knows what the ingredients may be).
> The real one is soft when touched.

The real one looks really pigmented and has a curvy container for the shadows.

The fake one looks really flat and dull.

> Since I have a very sensitive skin, I am very particular on what I put on my face since I break out easily and I am allergic to a lot of stuff. So, having fake products in my makeup collection is not good, since I won't know what the ingredients are and It might cause serious problem on my face (haaays!). I was very sad and I couldn't sleep.

I decided to buy the real one from a store that I know sells authentic products, it costed me PHP 3200, pretty close to the fake one. I should have known better! but moving on, for all makeup lovers out there, below is a more detailed shots of how you can spot fake NAKED 2 with the real ones.

Side by side, you can tell the difference between the two. But not having the real one on your hand, you wont be able to tell the difference. It's pretty close to the real one.

From the front and back view, as you can see the real one is more of a brown color compared to the fake one which has more of a gray tone to it.

You'll also notice that the real one has a 4 digit code at the back, the fake don't have that info.

If you check the front and back side of the container, you can see that the real one is packaged really well.

A little close up look, you see that the name of the shadows are aligned really well.

As for the brushes, for the real one the Naked 2 name finishes off to the flat side of the brush.

I hope my longest blog of all times, helped you in some way on how you can identify NAKED 2 palette from the fake ones.

Please check the product before you leave the store, that I stupidly didn't do.

Please don't buy the fake one even though it's cheaper, you never know what it has or how it was made.

Thank you and have a nice day! :)
