Makeup Review: REVLON Photoready Foundation

Hey There! Welcome back to my blog! :)
Today, I will talk about the Revlon Photoready Foundation. I know by now many of you have already tried it, but I will give you my thoughts about this product. If you wanna find out, then read on :)

Price: This foundation retails for PHP800-900 in the market (I got this online for only PHP655)
Bought From: Online (if you wanna know where, please comment below)
Color: Medium Beige (I am NC42 in mac)

Putting a little dot on the back of my hand.

Swatched it, as you can see it has yellow tone to it which I think is perfect for my skin.

It blended out pretty well at the back of my hand. covered most of the green veins. Not seen in the photo but after the foundation settled, it has this glittery effect on the skin.

Now trying on my face, I wasn't able to get the before foundation face.. but as you can see it covered my redness and hyper pigmentation pretty well (but some i had to cover with concealer). Also I have a big zit just above my nose bridge and chin, but it was covered good.
This is just one layer of the foundation. It's pretty buildable as well.

(Front-view) I like the coverage. It's good for everyday use (with SPF20), as you can see my pores are not that visible.. (I have a large pores and a lot of redness and all those imperfections that you can think of).

After 9 hours.. tadaaa!!!.. I can see that the foundation is still intact, but the redness around my nose and my zits are already visible.
This is my face after 9 hours at the office..

Photo looking down, not sure what's going on here.. but just giving you a closer look..

PROS:
  • Good coverage
  • Blended out pretty well
  • It evened out my skin
  • Covered my redness
  • It has a soft finish.
  • It has SPF 20, great for day wear.
  • This product claims to be Oil free and fragrance free, which I agree. I don't smell anything bad or strong with this product and It's not that oily for my combination skin.
  • Good thing is It didn't break me out, which is perfect!

CONS:
  • At the end of the day, I can already see the redness on my face. This is inspite me using a good primer.
  • Not much of a color selection. It did not bother me since I found one that matched my skin, but for others who have lighter or darker skin, you may have a hard time finding one, you may need to combine colors.

I also read that this foundation is comparable to Makeup forever's HD foundation, I am yet to test that out. Maybe next month :D

Thanks again for reading! have a blessed day! :)
