So anyways, now, I will be sharing with you what we did during our stay in Singapore. This will also give you some tips or ideas on where to go or what to do if you happen to venture into this beautiful land :)
I actually created an Itinerary for us, from our friends who went there and from someone who is working there.
By the way, before you start your journey, be sure to download the MRT singapore map, you can find it here - http://www.smrt.com.sg/Trains/NetworkMap.aspx, it would be easier for you. Also we used an app, which helped us know what time the Bus will arrive and how much is the ride, http://gothere.sg/maps. But it's always fun to get lost in this city, beautiful view and no pollution.
Day 1: City Tour
We actually arrived at 11:30 PM of Sept 4, and since the MRT opens at 5:30am, we had to spend the night at the airport, since we don't know any other way to go to our friend's house. Airport in SG is amazing, lots of restaurant which are open 24 hours and it's so big and beautiful, you won't get tired looking at it hahaha.
We slept for 4 hours after arriving at our friend's house, then we started our day 1 in SG.
First stop is Gardens by the Bay - this is such a beautiful site, there's this building that has like a boat on top of it. They say that it's a bar and a pool there, we weren't able to go since we want to see other site.
Check out this big tree-like in the dark, they glow! we went there during the day so we weren't able to experience it.
Be sure to visit Marina Bay Sands. You'll find this place very interesting.
Of course, you can't leave SG without visiting Merlion in Marina Bay.
Go and check their light show.
Day 2: Universal Studios
We spent our whole 2nd day at the famous Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa. We walked in the sentosa boulevard, it was such a nice walk, great view and all that, plus it's free! hahaha! there are many ways to get to Universal Studio, you can take the sentosa train, cable car or walk, like what we did :) you won't get tired as there are lot of walkalator as you go along. For me, its super fun to walk, burn those calories on your way..
A picture with the famous USS globe :)
I just can't pass the moment to have a pic with this cute yellow creature, called minion! hahaha
You should never miss the following rides:
- Transformers - we rode this 2 times.. that's how fun this ride is :)
- The mummy ride - which we were super afraid to try, but check out if you can, it's an indoor roller coaster ride.
We also visited the biggest merlion in SG, but unfortunately it was already close when we got there.
Once inside Sentosa, the train ride is free. you can go anywhere inside sentosa with this train.
Nope, we didn't try that iFly. It's 100SGD, not included in our budget.. they say it's fun to try.
Day 3: Discover other sites
On our 3rd day, we were toured by our dear friend, Koshie, she was very kind to allow us to stay in their house and come with us on our last day in SG.
According to her, your stay in SG won't be complete without visiting the water of Wealth.
You have to touch the water in the middle then go around the ring 3 times while thinking about your wish. They say, when you do that, your wish will come true :)
Next stop is China town, with their beautiful decors and all, a lot of people who comes here. If you are a backpacker, this is where you should go, it's where the cheap places to stay is located.
Also, don't forget to go up the temple.
Flowers!
We also were able to witness comincon.. photoshoot with cosplayers!
Ate at this place, waa, forgot the name. It's near marina sands. we rode a taxi to arrive at this place. They offer a lot of delicious food.
The view was superb. we just walked and stayed by this bay until we felt sleepy.
Since it's mid-autumn festival, there were performance from an orchestra during this time.
Hope you enjoyed reading and looking at the pictures of this post.. next up will be where to Shop in Singapore :) please come back tomorrow..
Thanks again for the visit and have a nice day! :)
