My Road to Healthiness: 7 Months Later

Hi! it's been a while since I updated my blog. I got busy (but that is no excuse really), changed job (yes! got the courage to move out of my 7 years job to a new one) and now I am still on my road to healthiness, although it got delayed a few times, but I am still committed to achieve that new me. as they say, slowly but surely. no really, I'm just lazy sometime. haha!

So here I am writing my road to healthiness journal, just to give update on you guys, whoever is reading this, I hope someone is. pleaaase. will show you pictures of me, latest me.

Here's what I have been doing so far, Thanks to my gym enthusiast friends, who tells me what to do with my life.. haha!


I have been going to the gym and mostly doing cardio (10-20 mins), then my friend suggested I do the what they call "Box of Pain", and yes as the name goes, it's really painful if its your first time. believe me, been doing it for more than a month now and it's still painful after.

here's the list of what is in the "Box of Pain" that I do, thought I should share it with you, just in case you want to give it a go.

Depending on the weights, I started with 2.5kg per hand, now I am in 7.5kg per hand (but I can only do 4 sets with this weight). The goal is to finish 8 sets of this. the counting is 6,7,8,9,10.

  • Military Press - 6 reps
  • Front Squat - 7 reps
  • Bent over rows - 8 reps
  • Deadlift - 9 reps
  • Squats - 10 reps
Please note that all this is using a dumbbell, not really sure if its the right term for the routine, but you can look it up in google if you have any doubts :D. I was able to do all 8 sets with 5kg weight per hand. but with 7.5kg, I cannot, I can only do up-to 4 sets and I am dead if I try another set.

I do this twice a week, mostly on a Sunday or Monday (to start my week) and on Saturday (end of my week). In between, I do other workout routine like core or triceps, since I am also concern with toning my arms.

As for my diet, I avoid junk foods and fast foods as much as I can. I only eat fish and vegetables and now I am starting to eat only Red rice, specially on weekday.

I also prepare my own lunch now, so I won't be tempted to eat unhealthy foods.

aaaand, I think that is all for my update. here's a latest picture of me, taken from our vacation 2 weeks ago in Coron Island Philippines, which I will be doing in my next travel blog (notice what i did there? hihi).. so stay tuned ;)
